And the Winner Is . . . .

Even though I waited a couple extra days to see if anyone would submit entries, there was only one entry into the competition. Seeing as how there was only one entry, we will not have voting.

MACATHEBLADE submitted the following entry:

The worst gift I received was from a friend of mine (who I hadn,t seen for 3 years). Every Xmas we send each other presents for Birthdays and Christmas. Last year he sent me a personalised credit card holder with initials on it.
It should have had the initials MACA = MACATHEBLADE, instead there was spelling mistake and it read NAKA.
And in English that's quite a funny mistake!!!!! It was a genuine mistake too, he didnt do it on purpose.

MACATHEBLADE, please send me a PM to claim your prize.

Post Christmas Competition-FREE NUGGETS

So Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/any other gift-giving time has come, all your gifts have been open, and you are ready to stand in the return line to exchange that horrible gift for something you'd like better (because really, you don't want to wear underwear picked out by Great Aunt Ruth :) ). Tell us about the funniest/worst/most random gift you received this year and you will have the chance to win free nuggets. After all, free nuggets are the perfect gift and might make your gift seem funny, right?

To enter, simply send me, Jackal, a PM with a description of your gift. It doesn't have to be a gift you received this year. If you have a story from any time ever, you can send it to me. It doesn't have to be Christmas. It can be birthday, random holiday, just because, etc. The holiday isn't important, but the gift is.

After the competition closes, the team will vote on the top 5 gifts and then I will post a poll with the top 5 entries and the players can vote on it. The winner will receive a package of nuggets worth 50 nuggets. Pretty simple right? You get to tell us, we get to laugh, and you have the chance to win nuggets.

Well in the spirit of Christmas, I'm willing to offer a second package of 50 nuggets IF there are enough entries. The second package will for the BEST present ever. We will do the same thing as the worst present in that the team will pick the top 5 and we will have a poll for the players to pick the winner.

Players are limited to one entry per competition. We will have a winner for the worst present competition, but will only have a winner for the best present competition if there are at least 50 entries for the worst present competition. If there are less than 50 entries in the worst present competition, we simply will not have the poll or award for the best present competition.

All entries must be received by 11:59 PM server time on Sunday, January 1st, 2012. You must send me a PM with your gift. Limit one gift description per competition per person. If you send me multiple, only the first one will be considered for the competition.

The poll will open on Monday, January 2nd and run through Friday, January 6th. The winner(s) will be announced soon after and given their prize(s). I will post all entries for the competitions, not just the top 5 so that everyone can read it and be thankful for the gifts you were given. :)

Now you really want to enter, but you are having problems thinking of the worst present you received? Well here's some inspiration from a couple members of the team:
-Every year for many years I received Miss Piggy stuff for Christmas.
-One year I received the same DVD for my birthday and Christmas. They are only a month apart and the same gift giver gave me both copies of it.

In order to keep this a fair competition, please do not discuss your entries. Any discussion on the forums will cause those players to be disqualified from the competition.

Start thinking of your worst and best gifts and then start sending me PMs. Have fun!! :)
